Well, the new Detroit Lions uniforms are here, but the arrival didn't have much sparkle thanks to a leak.
The Lions' new uniforms were originally scheduled to be released Thursday evening, but appeared online Thursday morning. The Three Lions' uniform is the Honolulu blue, white and black alternate with blue lettering.
The Lions will have two different pants options to use with their new jerseys.

The Lions were ready for the leak, however: their social team posted a pre-recorded video minutes later with defensive tackle Aleem McNeil.
While wearing Honolulu's new blue and silver jersey, an angry McNeil said: “Whoever leaked the uniform video, we appreciate it. We appreciate you ruining all the hard work we put in. Video coming soon.”

The Lions then released a second video titled “Inside the Job?” From midfielder Jared Goff joking that he had to take a photo of the black jersey to “leak it to Twitter”.
Now, the date on which the Lions will officially unveil their new threads is set to be set for Thursday.
The Lions last updated their uniforms in 2017, when they removed the black piping and introduced a steel gray “Color Rush” alternative. Team president Rod Wood said at the time that the main reason the Lions underwent a complete redesign of their uniforms was to remove black from their color scheme, but insisted it was not about purging some final remnants from the Matt Milne era.
“It's gone and I think we're glad it's gone,” Wood said in 2017 of the black's removal.
The new uniforms for 2024 include a Nike logo on the sleeves instead of the “WCF” patch that was worn on the shoulder of the Lions' uniforms for the past decade, in memory of former owner William Clay Ford, who died in 2014. Wood said in March that they would honor Ford in a different way.
“We're going to approach this a little differently,” Wood said. “I won't talk about exactly how it will look, but it will be honored, just not in the same way as it was in the current uniform.”
Sheila Ford Hamp, Ford's daughter, took over as principal owner from her mother, Martha, in 2020.
