NFL Grades Week X: Leaders earn an "A+" for shocking undefeated Eagles; Tom Brady's Buccaneers gets an "A-"

The hacker They may want to know if they can move all of their games to Germany.

With the team in an offensive rut, the trip to Munich seemed to fix just about everything as Tampa Bay edged out Seattle 21-16 in what was the first NFL regular season game ever played in Germany.

After struggling for most of the past seven weeks, the Buccaneers finally caught fire on the offensive side of the ball: They had their longest run of the season (29 yards), their longest play of the season (31 yards) and Tom Brady actually looked like Tom Brady.

Although Brady threw an interception late in the game, he was close to nearly every other punt completing 22 of 29 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns, marking only the second time this year he has thrown multiple landing in a game.

Brady’s first TD pass was big: On 3rd and 10 in the second quarter, the Buccaneers were staring at a possible field goal attempt, but then Brady found Julio Jones for a 31-yard TD run.

That touchdown gave the Buccaneers an early 7-0 lead and they never looked back. If you’re wondering how bad Tampa Bay’s offense has been this season, just consider this: Jones’ score was the Bucs’ longest touchdown of the year. Prior to that play, the Buccaneers’ longest TD came from just 28 yards. Jones finished with three catches for 53 yards on a day when three different receivers eclipsed the 50-yard mark.

If you want a taste of Brady’s accuracy, here’s a 25-yard pass to Cady Otton in the third quarter.

Although Brady was huge, it wasn’t the only reason Tampa Bay’s offense was so effective. The Buccaneers’ rushing offense finally showed up and helped Tampa Bay take control of the game.

Going into Week 10, the Bucs were on track to be the worst rushing team in NFL history averaging just 60.7 yards per game over their first nine weeks. In Germany, they had more than 2.5 times that total with a season-high 161 yards.

Rashad White, who hasn’t rushed for more than 27 yards in a game this season, shocked everyone with his 105-yard performance. The rookie even had one of the most exciting plays of the game when he heavily armed Quander Diggs out of the stadium on a 29-yard touchdown run, which was the longest play of the season for the Buccaneers.

White also nailed the game with a 34 rushing yard run on the game’s Tampa Bay seal drive.

The Buccaneers haven’t looked like one of the best teams in the NFC the first 10 weeks, but they still have Brady and they still have a talented roster. With their victory over a first-place team in the NFC West, the Buccaneers proved they could be a dangerous team for the long haul. In 2020, the Bucs took five losses before eventually winning the Super Bowl and with Sunday’s win in Germany taking them to 5-5, that’s exactly where they’re headed this year.

Alright, let’s go over the scores for each game starting in week 10. If you’re looking for a little more in-depth on a game leopardswin over hawk that was played on Thursday, Make sure to click here.
