Oasis have announced the North American leg of their highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour.

Following news of it touring the UK and Ireland in August – where brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher mended their bitter feud – the British rock band have now revealed they will play a series of shows in the US next summer.

The concerts will take place 16 years after they last performed in North America.

Al-Waha commented: “America… Al-Waha is coming.” “You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along.”

The North American tour will kick off in Toronto on August 24 and will see the band play stadiums in Chicago, East Rutherford, Los Angeles and Mexico City. The concerts will take place between their shows in Dublin and their final date at Wembley Stadium in London.

Oasis will be joined by Kentucky-based rock band Cage the Elephant, supporting all US dates.

News of the North American reunion tour comes after the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launched an investigation into Ticketmaster over its handling of ticket sales in the UK and Ireland.

Fans were shocked after spending hours in online queues to discover they were being charged up to four times the original advertised prices due to Ticketmaster’s so-called “dynamic pricing” system, which raises fees if there is particularly high demand.

Earlier this month, the CMA said it would examine how Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” was used and would examine whether the sale might breach consumer law.

The CMA said it would engage with Ticketmaster and collect evidence from various other sources, possibly including the band’s management and promoters.

It added that it should not be assumed that Ticketmaster had violated the Consumer Protection Act.

Formed in Manchester in 1991, Oasis rose to become one of the biggest-selling bands of the era, a phenomenon even among their Britpop peers like Blur, Pulp and Suede. Their seven studio albums topped the charts, and that success translated into ticket sales – most famously when 125,000 fans attended each of their two Knebworth shows in 1996.

They have headlined the Glastonbury Festival twice, first in 1995, then again in 2004, winning six Brit Awards and two Ivor Novellus Awards.

Days after announcing their comeback, the band rose to the top of the UK album charts with their debut, Definitely Maybe, as they celebrated their 30th anniversary.

Meanwhile, next year will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their second album (What is the story) Morning Glory?, One of the biggest selling LPs under a British act of all time.
