Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause muscle pain, nausea, high fever, and diarrhea, and can be fatal to children, the elderly, and the immunocompromised. It can also cause pregnancy complications, miscarriage, and stillbirth.
TreeHouse Foods said the pies were distributed in the United States and Canada.
Consumers should return recalled products to the store where they were purchased.
The pies were sold at various locations, including major retailers such as Target, Walmart and Publix.

Last year, Van’s gluten-free waffles were recalled due to potential allergens, and in 2022 waffle and pancake mixes sold at Kroger and Walmart were recalled after “cable fragments” were found inside the boxes.
