Sycamore High School graduate Foster earns a ticket to the Olympics in the 400 nautical mile race

A Sycamore High School graduate joined the U.S. Olympic Swimming Team Sunday night. Carson Foster, 22, took first place in the 400 individual medley, defeating seven other competitors. Foster is currently a student and swimmer at the University of Texas. Before that, he was a member of the local Mason Manta Rays swim team. He will now have the opportunity to compete in the 400m individual medley next month in Paris. Foster will also have the opportunity to compete in more events as the Team USA Olympic Trials progress this week. Foster’s older brother, Jake Foster, another University of Texas student, will also compete in the Olympic swimming trials this week. The race was held. Inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The stadium is usually home to the Indianapolis Colts NFL football team. Foster is heading to the Olympics three years after finishing third at the 2021 Olympic Trials.
