Tesla paid a California bakery $2,000 to cover the costs of a canceled pie order after the car company's billionaire owner, Elon Musk, learned of the disaster and promised to “make things okay.”

The owner of The Giving Pies – which has seen a boom in business since the ordeal made headlines last week – He confirmed to The Guardian Tesla paid the bill due on Monday.

The San Jose bakery originally received an order for 2,000 Tesla mini pies before doubling that order. But a Musk representative canceled the bakery at the last minute just as the sweets were scheduled to be shipped, the employer previously claimed.

“To me, it was clear that Tesla's corporate culture prioritizes convenience over accountability, ignoring the livelihoods of small business owners like me,” Owner Voahangy Rasetarinera he said in a Facebook post last week.

After Tesla CEO Musk learned of the issue through media coverage, he said he would make sure Racitarenera gets paid.

“Just heard about this. It will make things good with the bakery,” Musk said. Share X on Friday. “People should always be able to count on Tesla doing its best.”

“Tesla just paid the $2,000 they were out of,” Racitarenera told The Guardian via email three days later.

The payment covers the cost of the components purchased by the company to fulfill the canceled order, KGO reported.

“When you're a big company, $2,000 is pocket money, and that's nothing,” Recitarenera told the outlet. “But for us, it's too much.”

Over the weekend, hundreds of customers lined up to order pies from the bakery in a show of support following The Giving Pies' scathing review of Tesla.

“Oh my God, it's unbelievable,” Racitarenera said He told NBC Bay Area. “I'm blown away. I'm like, 'I didn't do it for this.' I'm so grateful. It's amazing. The people are amazing.”

While she told the station that Tesla offered her a new catering offer to celebrate Women's Day in March, she declined the offer due to a shortage of crust after the onslaught of new orders.
