The Last Airbender fighting video game is in the works

A multiplayer fighting video game based on Nickelodeon's beloved animated series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” is currently in the works, which will soon become a live-action show on Netflix.

The game is set to be released at Maximum Entertainment in a new agreement with Paramount Game Studio.

maximumimum revealed the new title while showcasing its 2024 lineup and promoting the unification of its publishing brands, Maximum Games, Modus Games, Just For Games and Merge Games, as well as its development division Modus Studios, under the Maximum Entertainment banner.

Under its new reorganization, Maximum says the company is now “full integration centric” and “seeks to increase intellectual property ownership to 30 percent of revenue by 2025.”

The company currently has 100 games in the works across PC and consoles, including 15 games based on its IP. Aside from its new partnership with Paramount Global for the “Airbender” video game, Maximum says it is focused on in-house development of “competitive fighting games, live-action services, and action/adventure titles.”
