T-Bose You’ll be seeing a lot of scrubs… She’s in the hospital after what she thought was food poisoning turned into something much worse, forcing TLC to pull the plug on her weekend shows.
The band says T-Boz, known as Teon Watkins, is suffering from an abdominal obstruction that has led to her being hospitalized. The health crisis has caused TLC to miss a show Saturday night at Foxwoods in Connecticut, as well as a Friday night gig at the New York State Fair in Syracuse.
A lot of TLC fans were disappointed tonight. @New York Exhibition The party was suddenly cancelled.
At 7:30 p.m., this message came in. T-Boz has food poisoning. (TLC drew a crowd of 30,000 at the 2022 show.)@Bfernandoalba Report, photo by @Shield Scott:https://t.co/DXLsB67cq0 pic.twitter.com/zljWcGIgLm

After canceling her appointment Friday night – which came just 30 minutes before the scheduled start time – they said she had food poisoning, but 24 hours later they got a different diagnosis.
The group released a statement saying: “The doctor confirmed that this was not food poisoning, but an abdominal obstruction. Teyon deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and extends her sincere apologies to all her fans and the event organizers.”
They say she was still in the hospital Saturday evening, and doctors were monitoring her condition and performing a CT scan to determine the severity of the blockage. They expect her to be released sometime Sunday.
Before this weekend, TLC’s last gig was Thursday night in Toledo… though we’re not suggesting that some Ohio food is to blame for her illness.
TLC says it will try to reschedule the cancelled shows, but the current tour has not been smooth sailing at all. It also had to cancel two shows in Canada in May due to a flu outbreak among the tour members.
