Most of you know him as Eric Schlitt. Some of you know him as The Machine. I know him as a friend and managing editor at Pride of Detroit. Whatever you know, this is Eric's time of year. And no, I'm not talking about false spring or false winter.
I'm talking about of course NFL Draft. Now just three weeks later, Eric dropped the first of a seven-round mock draft earlier this week Detroit Pride websiteAnd My good friend Miko Scott and I discussed it on the Pride of Detroit YouTube channel.
Miko and I dive into each pick Eric made, and how each pick fits into the Detroit Lions' plans, in 2024 and beyond. One aspect that we have continued to discuss is the fact that we as Lions fans may have some recalibration to do regarding our expectations regarding draft picks.
The Lions 2023 draft class was special. I mean really, truly private. Getting production like this from so many players in one class puts Lions general manager Brad Holmes in a rare air.
However, the Lions roster is one of the most complete rosters in the NFL right now. From top to bottom, this is a roster that is a ready contender in 2024. So while Mikko and I really like the direction Eric took this simulation, it was interesting to think about where each player could fit in during his coaching tenure. Rookie seasons.
You can watch the entire video hereAnd be sure to subscribe Detroit Pride YouTube channel As we will continue to publish plenty of content leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, as well as the rest of the year.
Because as we know, the NFL never stops, and neither do we.
