Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel is facing sexual assault accusations from a former assistant.
According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, Asta Jonasson claims that the actress committed sexual assault against her in the fall of 2010 while she was working on the set of Fast Five in Atlanta.
She claims that in 2010 Diesel cornered her against a wall in a hotel suite and masturbated in front of her.
According to the legal complaint, Jonasson was hired by One Race, the actor’s production company, for a range of roles. These included making arrangements with Diesel at social gatherings and ensuring her presence in photos if the actor appeared solo at events without his usual romantic partner.
Greenberg Gross, the firm representing Ms. Johnson, issued a A statement.
A company spokesperson stated that they are proud to stand by their client and hold Vin Diesel, along with those who enabled and concealed his actions, accountable for sexual assault.

According to the lawsuit, after a late night in September 2010, Jonasson was asked to stay in Diesel’s suite at the St. Regis Hotel until he finished hosting women from the club. Once the women left, Diesel allegedly grabbed Jonasson’s wrists and pulled her onto the bed.
“Miss. The lawsuit reveals that Johnson was unable to escape and closed her eyes for fear of angering Vin Diesel by rejecting him further and trying to break up with him, hoping that the assault would end.
Despite her concerns for physical safety and job security, Johnson hesitated to challenge her boss’s advances. However, when Diesel tried to remove her underwear, she could no longer contain her terror and rushed down the hallway, screaming.
As stated in the lawsuit, Diesel allegedly pushed her against a wall and touched his genitals with her hand. While he was masturbating, Ms. Jonasson became frightened and closed her eyes in an attempt to dissociate from the sexual assault and prevent its provocation.
“Ms. Johnson felt like a piece of trash that needed to be disposed of. Ms. Johnson felt powerless, her self-esteem destroyed, and she wondered about her own skills and whether a successful career would require her to trade her body in order to advance.”
The lawsuit added: “It was clear to her that she was fired because she was no longer useful. Vin Diesel used her to fulfill his sexual desires and she resisted his sexual assaults.”

Although she signed a non-disclosure agreement upon her hiring, Jonasson was able to raise her concerns under the protection of both the SPEAK Act and California’s AB2777 law. These laws prohibit enforcement of such agreements in cases of sexual assault, assault, and harassment, and also temporarily suspend statutes of limitations in the case of sexual assault allegations after 2009.
According to Jonasson’s claims in the legal document, the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements gave her the strength to take back control and seek revenge for the pain she suffered from Vin Diesel and One Race.
