The legendary pop icon Britney Spears is set to headline at the Brighton Pride Festival 2018. This will be the singer’s first UK gig for many years, since she has been in Las Vegas for the last four. It will mark the beginning of her ‘piece of me’ tour of the UK. Britney’s ‘piece of me’ set has never before been performed in the UK and it is sure to be a spectacular show.
The singer’s performance will take place in Preston Park, on the 4th August, after the Pride parade. She might be the biggest pop name ever to grace the stage at Brighton’s gay Pride festival.
More artists performing on the Saturday are set to be announced in the coming weeks and months, while Nile Rodgers and Chic have already been confirmed as headliners for LoveBN1 fest, a brand new event set to take place in Preston Park on Sunday 5 August.
The star’s European tour will also take her to Manchester, Glasgow and London – as well as Germany, Belgium and Sweden.
Britney says: “I’m so excited to be kicking off my UK tour this summer at Brighton Pride! I guarantee it’s going to be a night to remember and can’t wait to sing and dance with all of my LGBTQ fans.”
Britney’s first and second studio albums, ‘…Baby One More Time’ and ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’ became international successes, with ‘…Baby One More Time’ becoming the best ever selling teen record. Title tracks ‘…Baby One More Time’ and ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’ also broke international records in sales.
