Algiers is an experimental band from Atlanta, Georgia. On Tuesday night they’ll be showcasing their diverse range of musical influences at none other than Brighton’s Patterns. With their sound previously being described as “dystopian soul”, you can expect afrofolk inspired vocals, emphasis on atonal textures and a (somewhat) sombre mood.

Friday – The Staves @ The Old Market

The Staves are an Enlgish folk rock hybrid consisting of a trio of sisters. After kickstarting their career through performances at open mic nights, they have since taken the UK by storm. Performing amongst big names such as Florence and The Machine and Bon Iver, the sisters have certainly made a name for themselves. They even had a spot at Glasto 2015, so you can expect good vibes all night long from this band.

Doors @ 7.30pm. The Old Market, Upper Market Street, BN3 1AS.
