Humans of Brighton – Meet Teya, the History Student
Sunday means Humans of Brighton! This week met Teya, who loves the friendliness of Brighton.
Hi Teya! How long have you lived in Brighton for?
About a year and half now, nearly two years.
And what brought you down here?
I go to uni here. I study History at Sussex.
Where were you originally from?
Can you tell us your favourite thing about Brighton?
My favourite thing is the size, especially compared to London. You’ve got the beach as well as the countryside, and there’s lots of cool shops and bars. I like the atmosphere too – everyone’s really friendly, really liberal, it’s really nice.
What would you say is your favourite thing to do in Brighton?
Umm.. well my favourite thing to do is probably go to the beach! A cycle down to the beach is pretty nice.
And would you ever leave Brighton?
I think I would… I don’t want to live here forever, cause it’s almost too small, especially being from London. I wouldn’t go back to London, but I like to go to lots of different cities and see what they’re like. But I can imagine coming back here when I’m older, with my children. It would be a nice place to raise kids!
