Get excited! Brighton’s much loved Mexican joint, La Choza has confirmed it will open its second official venue later this month. The brightly coloured burrito haven currently have one restaurant on Gloucester road, as well as serving food at The Hare & Hounds pub until earlier this month. The newest member of this Mexican family will be on Western road in Hove. According to reports, the company has spent over a year searching for the perfect Brighton abode.
Co-Founder, Aoife Sweeney has promised the same themes as the current La Choza, but with a greater focus on cocktails, as well as a secondary menu! Apparently the new menu will introduce Mexican/Lebanese kebabs to our seaside city.
The new venue will take over where vegan tapas restaurant Rootcandi once was (*single tear*). Due to its new accommodation, the second La Choza will be able to serve up to 70 people, making it twice the size of the always busy North Laine eatery.
Work has begun to transform the Western road restaurant into what La Choza is known for: A vibrant street food joint with skulls, flowers and bright bunting.
