In Brighton we’re used to having good music at our fingertips, but it seems now more than ever there has been a flurry of tour date announcements from big names including Alt-J and The Libertines, who are both set to play the Brighton Centre this year.
Next to announce their upcoming appearance in Brighton is none other than New Zealand pop sensation, Lorde.
The singer announced a world wide tour in support of her upcoming album, ‘Melodrama’. This will be the 20 year old’s second full length studio album and she plans to tour it from Australia all the way to the UK.
As part of the Europe leg of the tour she will be playing at five venues around the UK, including: London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and of course, Brighton. The ‘Royals’ singer is also preparing to perform at Glastonbury Festival for the first time on the Other Stage.
Support on all her tour dates will come from American singer-songwriter, Khalid, who seems more than excited tweeting “I get to tour with one of my biggest influences…”
Lorde will come to Brighton on 30th September. If you’re hoping to get your hands on tickets, you can sign up to be first in line for pre-sale tickets by going here. Main sale will be on Friday 16th June.
