Based in Pennsylvania, the American hard rock band CKY or Camp Kill Yourself have provided the soundtrack for the MTV series ‘Jackass’. The group currently features Deron Miller (Vocal, Guitar), Chad I Ginsburg (Guitar), Jess Margera (Drums) and Matt Deis (Bass).

Bam!Bam!Bam! @ The Haunt – 9th May

Let’s imagine an apocalypse that destroys the vast majority of sounds. Which ones would be the ones to remain? Which artists will lead us to new sound worlds? Bam!Bam!Bam! will make us find out tomorrow night with their new show ‘The Comet Is Coming’. Featuring Shabaka Hutchings (Sons of Kemet, Melt Yourself Down), Danalogue and Betamax (Soccer96).

Jon Boden @ Komedia – 10th May

Known as the co-founder of Bellowhead, English folk singer, musician, and songwriter Jon Boden comes to Brighton as part of his first ever solo tour. Famous albums include “Painted Lady” and “Songs From The Floodplain” and his repertoire is said to extend far beyond the boundaries of the folk genre. Wednesday night he will be supported by Laura Hockenhull together with Ben Paley.

Lady Bird @ The Green Door Store – 11th May

Unfest, Unlabel & Artist’s Gallery presents a rich lineup Thursday night. Originally from Kent, the three piece punk band Lady Bird will rock the stage at The Green Door Store, followed by Joeyfat and Method Actress.

Formed in Brighton in 2010, Phoria have become known for their colourful, visually evocative soundscapes. After two EPs, the alternative rock band is proud to announce the release of its debut album ‘Volition’.

Bonkaz @ Coalition – 13th May

Originally from Croydon, Bonkaz started his music career in 2015 with his debut single ‘We Run The Block’. The rapper has released several singles ever since and will be performing live at Coalition this Saturday.

Alabama 3 @ Concorde 2 – 14th May

This Brixton based pop band is influenced by various genres. Punk rock, Blues, Country, Indie … you name it. These nine musicians have been playing together since 1996 and have given birth to well known tunes such as ‘Woke Up This Morning’ which was chosen as theme song for the TV series ‘The Sopranos’. With the second part of their ‘Exile To Blues’ tour, they will be stopping at Brighton this Sunday.
