This was a scintillating weekend, and Aaron Rodgers won’t let it go.
On Monday, the Jets’ new quarterback star reflected on a whirlwind few days at his “new home” at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., where he took part in Taylor Swift’s impressive IRAs.
Incredible weekend at my new home #metlifestadium with some special friends Miles [Teller] And [his wife] keleighteller, a bunch of new people, and the legendary @taylorswift who absolutely rocks the house for 3 1/2 hours every night!!! Rodgers shouted on instagram.
Rodgers, who was photographed dancing to Swift’s hit songs during the Saturday and Sunday shows, also expressed his gratitude to the people he met at MetLife.
“Thank you to the great security people, the kind fans I met, and the hospitality from the tour both nights,” the 39-year-old quarterback wrote.
Rodgers concluded his message by encouraging fans to watch the Jets in action this season.
“Hopefully we can make MetLife really loud this year come see us @nyjets,” Rodgers wrote.
The four-time league MVP was traded to the Jets in April after 18 seasons with the Packers.
Since arriving in New York, Rodgers has continued to absorb all the experiences his new home has to offer, including Knicks and Rangers playoff games at Madison Square Garden.
While a Swift concert was considered a must for Rodgers, his bucket list also includes a starring return to New York.
“I’m an old guy, so I want to be part of a team that can win it all,” Rodgers said last month at his Jets introductory press conference. “I think this is a place we can do it.”
Even though the season—not to mention the playoffs—is months away, Rodgers has already perfected his Super Bowl celebrations just in case.
The Jets last won the Super Bowl after the 1968 season.
