Kim Jong Un attended a “paramilitary parade” with his daughter to mark North Korea’s 75th anniversary on Saturday, the country’s state media reported.

Paramilitary forces and industrial workers marched through Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang as part of the parade, KCNA reported.

Kim attended the parade with his daughter, believed to be named Kim Ju Ae, and received congratulatory messages from Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to KCNA.

A Chinese delegation headed by Vice Premier Liu Guozhong and visiting members of the Russian Army Academic Corps Alexandrov were present, KCNA said, adding that diplomatic envoys stationed in Pyongyang were invited.

In Putin’s message, according to KCNA, the Russian leader wrote that relations between the two countries “have always developed on the principle of friendship, good-neighborliness and mutual respect,” adding that he believes they will “expand bilateral relations in all respects in all fields.” In a planned manner by pooling efforts.

“This is fully consistent with the interests of the peoples of our two countries and will contribute to ensuring security and stability on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia,” Putin wrote, according to KCNA.

In Xi’s message, according to KCNA, the Chinese leader said his country is “ready to strengthen strategic communication, deepen working-level cooperation and strengthen China-DPRK relations” with Pyongyang.
