Credit card skimmers were found at a Sudbury Farms grocery store

A Massachusetts-based grocery store chain said credit card skimmers were discovered at the location where it operates in Sudbury.

Roche Bros. Supermarkets announced Sunday that scrapers were found on two self-checkout counters at a Sudbury Farms grocery store along Route 20.

According to Roche Bros., the company immediately took steps to secure all records at all 20 of its Massachusetts locations and began an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the activity. Law enforcement has also been contacted, the company said.

Roche Bros. representatives said: Some customers who shopped at the Sudbury Farms store in Sudbury on or before Christmas Eve may have been affected as a result of the incident.

“Roche Bros. has strong policies in place to protect against these types of incidents, including performing multiple security checks daily on our records. Roche Bros. is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of our customers’ information and issues a press release to “Try to reach affected and potential customers who We cannot specifically identify them,” said a statement from Roche Bros. Supermarkets CEO Kevin Barner.

Roche Bros. said: It has determined at this time that Sudbury Farms in Sudbury is the only one of its stores where the credit card skimmers were found.

There has also been no confirmation at this time that any customer data has been compromised, according to the company.
