Sources – Bengals are pessimistic that Tee Higgins will play against Eagles

CINCINNATI — The availability of one of the Cincinnati Bengals’ top receivers is in doubt for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins may not be available after a quadriceps issue on Friday, sources told ESPN’s Dan Graziano on Saturday night. Higgins will be the decision-maker for the home game, but there is pessimism about his chances of getting onto the field.

Higgins has been in good form until this week. He has racked up 75 or more receiving yards in the past three games and played a key role in back-to-back wins over the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns.

The fifth-year receiver from Clemson had not had any issues until Friday, when he was limited in team practice and was officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Higgins missed two games at the start of the season due to a soft tissue injury. After having no major issues in training camp, he suffered a hamstring injury a few days before the team’s season opener against the New England Patriots. Higgins missed that game and the subsequent game against Kansas City in Week 2.

In five games this season, Higgins has 29 receptions for 341 yards and two touchdowns.
