AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800 x 3 d Tested against the Intel Core i9-12900K again and we’ll see if DDR5 is enough to keep Alder Lake on top.
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D maintains gaming lead in latest benchmarks against Intel Core i9-12900K despite running DDR5-6000 memory from Alder Lake
The latest gaming standards for the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D have been published again by tech port, XanxoGaming. Today is also the day other media outlets will publish their 5800X3D reviews.
Previous benchmarks featured an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor running against an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU but only with up to 3600Mbps DDR4 memory. The latest benchmarks show us what performance looks like when testing the new 3D CPU V-Cache against Alder Lake with DDR5 memory. For this purpose, a batch of DDR5-6000 CL40 memory was used, and this gives another dollar advantage to the red team considering the high prices associated with going the DDR5 route on the Z690 platform. Meanwhile, users can simply run their existing DDR4 kits on the AM4 platform and the CPU upgrade alone will allow for much higher performance.
In terms of benchmarks, along with Assassin’s Creed Origins, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D outperformed or managed to stay on par with the Intel Core i9-12900K (plus DDR5-6000 memory). This is again an impressive rendering of the 3D V-Cache that delivers a bigger performance bump over Intel’s fastest Alder Lake gaming CPU. Another section where 3D V-Cache really helps is the 1% drop which is much higher than what the Intel Core i9-12900K produces in the same games.

Ryzen 7 5800X3D is Transformed into a great gaming CPU As far as its price is compared to the flagship Intel Core i9-12900K. AMD can have a very annoying offer as it says it is their last solution for the AM4 platform. It will be available for $449 when it goes on retail on April 20.
