The union is scheduled to vote on the deal on August 6. During the negotiations, workers voted to allow the strike, a move the negotiating committee described as “a first step in showing our solidarity” that would send “a clear message to Apple.”
Although there have been unionization campaigns at other Apple retail stores in the US, only two have been successful so far. Contract negotiations continue With the union at a store in Oklahoma City.
