US President Joe Biden issued a stern warning on Wednesday to be careful with Iran’s actions after Hamas attacks against Israel.

During a roundtable with Jewish community leaders about his administration’s efforts to provide support to Israel, Biden emphasized the help the United States is providing and said he speaks frequently with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The U.S. is “increasing military aid to the Israel Defense Forces, including munitions, interceptors to resupply Iron Dome, we’ve moved the U.S. aircraft carrier fleet to the eastern Mediterranean, and we’re sending more warplanes to that area. We’ve made it clear, we’ve made it clear to the Iranians: Be careful,” Biden said.

In his remarks, Biden also referenced reports of atrocities committed by Hamas.

“It’s important that Americans see what’s going on; I mean, I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I never thought I’d see it, and I’ve confirmed footage of terrorists beheading children,” Biden said.

Biden pledged his administration’s full commitment to rescuing the hostages in Hamas custody, telling the group that “we are working on all aspects of the hostage crisis in Israel.” “I can’t bring them home.

“Guys, we’re doing a lot… a lot, and I’m not giving up on bringing these guys home,” he said. “But the idea that I’m going to stand here in front of you and tell you what I do is strange, so I hope you understand how strange I think it is to try to answer that question.”

Some background on Iran: Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi spoke on the phone with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh this Sunday and later congratulated the Palestinian people on “victory” against Israel.

However, this Monday, Iran’s mission to the United Nations said the Islamic Republic was “not involved in the Palestinian response,” referring to the Hamas attack. “It was taken exclusively by Palestine,” he said.

Israel says Iran gives Hamas $100 million a year. The US State Department said in 2021 that the group receives funding, weapons and training from Iran, as well as some funds raised in the Gulf Arab states.

The U.S. has gathered intelligence that indicated Saturday’s attack caught senior Iranian government officials by surprise, according to multiple sources familiar with the information.

The existence of this information casts doubt on the idea that Iran was directly involved in the planning, sourcing or approval of the operation, the sources said.
