Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arachi vowed this Saturday (10/05/2024) that if Israel retaliates to an Iranian missile attack on Tuesday, October 1, Tehran will respond “with great force”.
“Our reaction to any attack by the Zionist regime (Israel) is clear,” declared Arachi during a visit to the Syrian capital Damascus, where he met President Bashar al-Assad, an ally of Iran.
On October 1, Iran launched a barrage of 200 missiles against Israel. Tehran indicated that the attack was in retaliation for the September 27 killing of Lebanese Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Iranian General Abbas Nilforushan in a massive bombing in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

“For every action, there will be a proportionate and corresponding reaction from Iran, and stronger,” he said.
An Israeli military official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP this Saturday that “the Israeli army is preparing to retaliate.”
Earlier, he called from Damascus on Friday October 4 for a ceasefire in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
