Jamie Foxx is grieving for his friend Keith Jefferson, who he says recently died.
Fox posted a tribute to Jefferson, who was also an actor, on his Instagram account on Thursday, writing“This hurts. Keith, you have been nothing but an absolute blessing, all your life, your heart is pure, your love is immeasurable, you were an amazing soul.
“We will all miss you so much,” Fox added. “It will take a long time for it to heal.”
The “Ray” star added two more posts in honor of Jefferson, Writing in one“It’s all hurting right now, I’m having a hard time looking at these pictures and reminiscing about us having a good time and we’re going to miss you man.” Foxx shared several photos of the pair in posts.
According to Jefferson’s IMDb profile, he appeared with Foxx on two episodes of “The Jamie Foxx Show” in 1998 and 1999. The duo has appeared in many other projects together over the years, including Quentin Tarantino’s 2012 film “Django Unchained” and more. Most recently in last year’s “Day Shift” and the upcoming “The Burial.”
Jefferson also appeared in Tarantino’s 2015 film “The Hateful Eight,” as well as 2019’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
In August, Jefferson participated In a post on social media That he had been diagnosed with cancer, he tagged Foxx, writing: “I have a loving family and best friends in the whole world. You know who you are. From my mom to J. Fox and everyone in between.
