Logan Paul defeats Dillon Danis via DQ in a complete farce of a boxing match

Boxing matches don’t usually end with more than 20 security guards in the ring.

But Logan Paul’s win over Dillon Danis, who was disqualified, saw plenty of buzz to top the social media personalities’ “co-main card” at the Manchester Arena in England on Saturday.

Danis, a so-called mixed martial arts fighter, has competed twice in Bellator MMA. Most of his notoriety came from online trolling, so he tried to capitalize on the experiences of his only two professional contests when he lost the chips to Paul. Unable to do any damage within the confines of boxing rules, Danis attempted to eliminate Paul in an ugly bout finish.

He even tried the guillotine before swinging on the flood of security guards who ran under the ropes once time ran out. Once the dust settled, Paul was unsurprisingly declared the winner of every round on the judges’ scorecards.

Paul joked about trying to submit after the fight:

In the lead-up to the event, rapper Drake bet $850,000 that Paul would knock out his opponent. For most of the rounds, it seemed like Danis was doing everything but actually trying to fight to avoid that outcome. Disqualification is probably the best option for his pride.

Tensions between the two came to a head on Thursday when Danis hit Paul in the face with a microphone after a similar scene broke out at the end of a press conference. Danis also incited himself by posting explicit photos of Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, on social media.

However, Paul said he is not fighting with his feelings.

Before calling out Rey Mysterio for the WWE United States Championship, Paul offered Danis another opportunity to mock combat sports. Paul’s only condition requires Danis to confiscate his wallet.
