Another night, no more.

Any hope that a two-week break and reassurance that the team's head coach was going to remain the head coach would light a fire under the 2023-24 Louisville men's basketball team was quickly extinguished on Wednesday night.
The Cardinals lost their 22nd straight road game — a streak that now covers more than two full calendar years — with a tough 77-53 defeat to Virginia in Charlottesville.
Freshman reserve Curtis Williams was Louisville's only bright spot on Wednesday, coming off the bench to score a team-high 14 points. Mike James was the only other Cardinal to score in double figures, finishing with 11. No U's player shot better than 50.0 percent from the field.
Virginia was mostly unfazed when it had the ball in its hands all night. As a result, the Cavaliers hit 10 3-pointers and shot 51.7 percent from the floor as a team.
Louisville is now 2-21 in ACC games under head coach Kenny Payne, and 0-20 in games away from the KFC Yum Center.
Two and a half months of this left.
