There have been all kinds of rumors popping up about a Switch “successor” and now someone else has popped up.
The latest claims about Nintendo’s next-gen hardware come from Ruben Mercado – CEO of video game accessory manufacturer Blade. talking to Spanish website Vandal on Podcast Recently, Mercado said the new device appears to be “primed” and “ready” to use.
To add to this, the executive said that Blade already has access to near-final versions of the hardware and believes Nintendo’s new system will launch worldwide simultaneously in March or April next year.
It appears that the timing of the release of the new system will depend on Nintendo’s financial statements for the current year, with claims that it could be launched in March if sales do not meet the company’s expectations or at the beginning of the new financial year in April 2025 if the results are positive. .
Mercado also ate some last Rumors linked to “Switch 2” such as magnetic Joy-Con controllers. He says they will have a “locking system” to keep them connected to the system. The peripheral maker also says that its current line of analog stick covers will not be compatible with the new device, because the new sticks are different.
Even though this is coming from the CEO of an accessory manufacturer, take everything here with a grain of salt. And remember, we’re still waiting for the official announcement of Nintendo’s “successor” to the Switch – which will take place “in this fiscal year” that ends in March 2025.
A rumor in August of this year indicated that the successor to the Nintendo Switch would not arrive in the current fiscal year.
