Samsung's new AI features are useful, but they're only available for select devices. Now, though, Samsung has said that the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21, among other devices, will get AI features as soon as next month.
in Participate in the forum From Korea, a Samsung employee has confirmed that One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI features will not only be coming to the Galaxy S22 series as rumored, but also to Samsung's entire 2022 and even 2021 flagship lineup. This is also in line with Samsung's comments earlier this week, where it said that more devices will get Galaxy AI soon.
This specifically includes flagship-level devices, so the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Tab S8 FE, and others won't be eligible. However, this opens up select Galaxy AI features to more than a dozen other devices.
The translated note includes details that these devices will not receive everyone Galaxy AI features. The 2022 devices will get “Galaxy S23 FE level AI”. This means that the Galaxy S23 FE does not support all Samsung features, as we mentioned previously, as the “Instant Slow-Mo” feature is missing from the budget phone.
The following devices will get this “level” of Galaxy AI:
- Galaxy S22
- Galaxy S22+
- Galaxy S22 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Tab S8
- Galaxy Tab S8+
- Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
Meanwhile, Samsung will also be bringing a selection of Galaxy AI to select devices released in 2021. This includes the flagship trio of the Galaxy S21 and this year's foldable devices. However, these devices, Samsung says, will only support Circle to Search and “Magic Rewrite,” which we Believes It can be a messy translation of Genetic Edit, as it is a cloud-supported feature.
Devices with these AI features will include:
- Galaxy S21
- Galaxy S21+
- Galaxy S21 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 3
- Galaxy Z Flip 3
As with the other devices, Galaxy AI features will arrive in the 2022 and 2021 builds via One UI 6.1 which, according to these reviews, is currently scheduled to launch in “early May.”
