INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are asking for the public’s help in finding two men of interest who they claim may have played a role in the theft of several hundred thousand dollars in gaming cards last week.
The theft of the cards was reported on August 1 when IMPD officers were called downtown after receiving calls that a pallet containing more than $300,000 in “Magic: The Gathering” gaming cards had been stolen.
After further investigation, the IMPD released the names of two men identified as possible suspects for the robbery.
The IMPD is asking for help locating Thomas J. Dunbar and Andrew Pearson Giaume. IMPD said they both reside in New York City.
The theft happened before the start of Gen Con, the nation’s largest convention for game card enthusiasts. The event was held from August 3 to August 6.
While Gen Con has yet to officially launch when the theft occurred, IMPD said several vendors were in the process of setting up their screens on the day the theft was reported.
