The next update for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection will launch “early” in January 2024

Another update has been released for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 But the catch is that it won’t be released on Nintendo Switch until “early January 2024.”

Although version 1.4.0 isn’t available on every platform yet, Konami has shared the full patch notes – so you can at least see what’s coming. This update covers many games in the collection, adds new features, and addresses some issues.

Version 1.4.0 Now available to users on Steam®!
This version is currently scheduled for release on PlayStation® 5, PlayStation® 4, Nintendo Switch™ and Xbox Series

(2) Game screen settings
It can be set to “Standard”, “Pixel Perfect” or “16:9”.
The Steam® version of the game also features a “full screen” feature. It can be set to a total of 4 settings — “Standard”, “Pixel Perfect”, “16:9” or “Full Screen”.
Wallpaper, display area, and screen filter features are also available when using the “Standard” or “Pixel Perfect” features.
Aspect ratio may vary depending on your device/setup settings or details.

(3) Screen filter
It can be turned on or off.
Applies a filter that displays scan lines like those on a CRT TV when it is turned on.

Audio settings feature added
Game volume and main menu volume settings can be changed before playing.
Game size can only be changed during gameplay.

Controller response speed customization feature added (Steam®)
You can choose between “Fast” (new!) and “Stable”.
Some settings may experience unstable performance when set to Fast.
If you experience any of these issues, please change your settings to “Stable”.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty – Main Collection Edition

  • Audio settings feature added
    Game volume and main menu volume settings can be changed before playing.
    Game size can only be changed during gameplay.

Added “Window Mode” (Steam®)
Added the ability to change the game to “Windowed Mode” before playing.
This feature can be turned on or off by pressing Alt + Enter on the keyboard.

  • Fix implemented to make the game prioritize user-configurable button designs (Steam®)
  • Fixed an issue where the laser pointer would not appear during certain cut scenes (PlayStation® 5, PlayStation® 4, Xbox Series
  • Fixed an issue where sea lice would not appear properly during certain cutscenes.
  • Some other minor issues have been fixed

METAL GEAR SOLID 3: Snake Eater – Main Collection Edition

  • Audio settings feature added
    Game volume and main menu volume settings can be changed before playing.
    Game size can only be changed during gameplay.
  • Added “Window Mode” (Steam®)
    Added the ability to change the game to “Windowed Mode” before playing.
    This feature can be turned on or off by pressing Alt + Enter on the keyboard.
  • Fix implemented to make the game prioritize user-configurable button designs (Steam®)
  • Fixed an issue where some face colors were displayed with lower resolution
  • Some other minor issues have been fixed
