THIS WEEK: Royal Pavilion Ice Rink opens in Pavilion Gardens

The most beautiful ice rink in the South East, in the heart of Brighton, is due to open to the public this Saturday 3rd November for another season of winter magic. After winning planning permission last year, the stunning rink will return to the city for the next five winters, so families and friends alike can enjoy the festive activity for years to come.

The Royal Pavilion Ice Rink will be open from November 3rd 2018, January 13th 2019.

This winter will be the rink’s ninth year at Pavilion Gardens, bringing festive spirit to city residents and Brighton tourists for almost a decade.

The stunning rink is built with the Royal Pavilion as the perfect fairytale backdrop, a regal scenery by day, and a twinkling pink paradise by night. Skate sessions run from 10am – 10.15pm daily.

Organisers say: “Whether you’re a skater or not, everyone is welcome to enjoy delicious food and drink by day and night at the stunning rinkside Bar & Kitchen, which offers warming snacks, delicious lunches and dinners, a great bar selection including local ale and a range of craft beers together with Mulled and Ginger Wine.”

The rink prides itself on being one of the best in the UK, with services such as: “superb ice quality and maintenance created using cutting edge rink technology and resurfacing, to comfy boots, separate beginners area, beautiful rink side restaurant and staff who really love what they do.”

Spectators and skaters alike can enjoy warming food and drinks in the rink side restaurant, which is set to serve stone-baked pizzas and local ales at good value.
