Hello, and welcome back to Polygon’s weekly dispatch of the deals we think you should know about. Every Saturday, we recap the big discounts you might have missed out on if you weren’t always online. The best gaming deals this week
This great occasion is approaching us: The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom’s Tears It will be released in less than a week, on Friday, May 12th. It’s the biggest game of 2023, and the most important launch in years for the Nintendo Switch.
I’m sure many of you reading this have pre-ordered the game. If you don’t, there is still time to secure a physical or digital copy in time for release day. Stay tuned after the jump to find out how you can save some money on your purchase.
You can save on your own Kingdom Tears Pre-order if you subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online, a $20 per year service that lets you play online, play NES and SNES games, access game DLC and betas, and back up your saves to the cloud.
Getting the service gives you the ability to purchase two sets of digital game vouchers for $99.98making it possible to save $30 on your purchase Kingdom Tears (usually $69.99) plus another game for $59.99. You can see the full list of Eligible games here. You can hold onto coupons for up to a year, but keep in mind that you need to be a subscriber to redeem your coupon.
Nintendo Switch Online Single Membership
For $19.99, you’ll get access to Switch Online for a year. It lets you play online, back up your game saves to the cloud, and access classic NES, SNES, and Game Boy games. It also allows you to save games by purchasing digital vouchers.
Star Wars Jedi: SurvivorJust how good this game is has been overshadowed by a buggy launch last week. But now that Respawn and EA have patched the game to improve its performance, it’s easy to recommend it. If you like his prequels, Jedi: The Fallen Order (Play this first, if you haven’t already) There’s a lot to love here, and you can get a $10 gift card when you buy it at Amazon or Goal. It’s not quite as good as the $10 sale we saw earlier this week, but it’s a solid freebie nonetheless.
Black Mesathe new, polished, valve-approved version of 1997 half life With greatly improved graphics, just that $4.99 in Steam. If you haven’t yet played through the game that helped put Valve on the map as a game studio, I highly recommend playing this version.

If you are the owner of the PS5 you purchased Spider-Man from Marvel for PS4 at any time, digitally or on disc, you can Pay $10 to Sony To get the modified version. Previously, the switching device was assembled inside Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition When PS5 launches in 2020.
There are a few caveats: If you own the game on disc, you’ll need to put it into your PS5 every time you want to play the Digital Enhancer. And if you have claimed any version of the game through your PlayStation Plus subscription (in other words, if you did not explicitly purchase the game), you will not be eligible for that upgrade price. You will have to pay $49.99 to get the enhancer.
