October 15 Saint: Who is Saint Teresa of Avila?

Saint Teresa of Avila She was a Spanish mystic very relevant in the Catholic tradition, becoming the first woman to receive a doctorate of the Church because of the influence of her life and work. He was born on March 28, 1515 into a large family, the third of nine siblings and two stepchildren. Her parents raised her to focus on reading, which led her to become a prominent writer in the future.

From an early age, Saint Teresa was deeply interested in the lives of the saints, admiring their courage and determination in not giving up their faith even in the face of death. At the age of 20, he entered the Avatara Math, although he had to stay away for two years due to illness.
