One player looking forward to the upcoming release of Season of Discovery shared how they would like to see Death Knights included in Blizzard’s version of World of Warcraft Classic+.
For those who don’t know, Death Knights weren’t added to the game until patch 3.0.2 as part of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Players were able to enjoy the original chapter again after the release of WotLK Classic, but it is clear that the Season of Discovery will not include the chapter as it is integrated into the original vanilla experience.

As a result, Death Knight players will have to find another class to play, but one user decided to appeal to the developers to include it. In widespread participation on Redditthe user shared his detailed plans to make the DK class work in the previous version of the game.
After sharing the post, users were quick to express their feelings about this potentially massive change.
Including Death Knights would pose a lot of problems
Many potential issues could arise if Death Knights were included in Season of Discovery, not the least of which is how they got there in the first place in terms of lore. This Reddit post aims to address all of that.

The community was not happy with the idea of the potential inclusion of Death Knights. In fact, one of them went so far as to demand that no additions be made to the original class selection at all, saying: “Please, for gods sake, no DKs (or any other class from the other expansions) in Classic+. Instead Increase the diversity of existing classes. I’m very happy with the direction they are going with SOD.
Another pointed out that this would be such a fundamental change that the game would no longer be the original Classic, saying: “And then we could change the name to Classic Wrath of The Lich King: Season of Discovery. Actually, why don’t we just add the whole thing? (And it doesn’t work As if you don’t know.”

While the OP may be disappointing, there are many changes coming in the Season of Discovery for players to look forward to. Runes will provide an opportunity for classes to act in different roles and gain new abilities. With hype building towards the game’s November 30 release, fans won’t have to wait long to find out if the gamble paid off.
