For a chance to experience one of the many talents that Brighton favourite Caroline Lucas has hidden up her sleeve, locals should mark the 17th of November on their calendars. The event will be presented by the Green Party MP and will also feature a performance from the local hero.
St Nicholas’s Church on Church Street’s newly-restored Elysian piano provides presents a spectacular evening of ensemble piano music.
This unique two-piano extravaganza ranges from duos performed by Evgenia Startseva and Yuri Paterson-Olenichthrough to a work written for eight players (16 hands!) and music for four players, performed by the Zongora Piano Group. Event features Kemp Duo and special guests including Caroline Lucas MP.
Composer Carlos Bianchini‘s new commission Paisajes:Madrid, Leon and Xabia will also receive its premiere played by the composer and south coast jazz pianist Mike Hatchard
Music includes works by Mozart, Debussy, Richard Rodney Bennett and Percy Grainger.
This promises to be a great night full of excellent music presented by the charity MOOT – music of our time, so it ticks the ‘good cause’ box too!
