Target Shopper claims that 7 a.m. is the best time to shop

A Target shopper recently claimed that 7 a.m. is the best time to shop in the store because it is a low-traffic hour. However, some users said that it actually is no-Traffic hour as local stores do not open until 8am

Shopper Mikaela Hess (@mikaelayhess) filmed her video in the dental aisle at her local Target store. “If you've never been to Target before at 7 a.m., that's your cue to go,” Hess said.

“I'm speaking softly because there are, like, a million employees around me, but I'm, like, one of 10 customers here — maybe,” she added. “This is the absolute best time to come to Target if you need to get your errands done quickly and easily.”

Hess doubled down on her strategy in the accompanying video commentary. “The early bird gets the worm,” she wrote. As of Sunday evening, her video had received more than 248,000 views.

Some viewers said in the comments that they agreed with Hess's point of view.

One user wrote: “Yes, but it is very strange that the situation is so quiet and there are employees everywhere.”

“It's better to go very early or very late when there's no one there,” said another.

“Went to Target on Saturday morning at 8am when they opened. It was just me and it was great,” agreed a third user.

However, other viewers said their local Target doesn't open early.

“The mines open at 10am,” one user said.

“Okay but my target doesn't open until eight o'clock?!” shouted another.

Some shoppers said they were concerned that entering too early might frustrate store workers.

“I feel like the staff hates me because they're trying to stock up,” one viewer said.

At least one Target employee verified this fact. “I'm a target employee and I don't like guests coming in too early,” they wrote.

Hess certainly isn't the only creator sharing Target shopping tricks. A former employee recently revealed secrets she learned while working. Another customer showed users how to use the Target app to match prices.
