Adam Driver, Mayim Bialik, Tom Waits, Charlotte Rampling, Indya Moore, and Luka Sabbat have joined the cast of Jim Jarmusch’s highly anticipated upcoming film, Father, Mother, Sister, Brother.

They join Cate Blanchett and Vicky Cripps, who were previously rumored to star after being photographed on set. “Father, Mother, Sister and Brother” recently wrapped production in Paris after being filmed in Dublin, Ireland and in the northeastern United States. Post-production has begun in New York, and the film is expected to be completed later this year.

“Father, Mother, Sister and Brother” is a triptych, following three separate stories set in different countries and revolving around the relationships between adult children, their somewhat distant parents, and each other. The first part, “Father,” is set on the East Coast in the northeastern United States, “Mother” in Dublin, Ireland, and “Brother” in Paris, France.

Father, Mother, Sister and Brother is probably one of Jarmusch’s most personal films, a “comedy interwoven with threads of melancholy” and “quiet, observational, non-judgmental character studies,” as the film’s description states. Jarmusch previously suggested that “Father, Mother, Sister and Brother” would have a strong musical element.

The film returns to Jarmusch’s team with Adam Driver, who directed him in “Patterson” and “The Dead Don’t Die.” Driver is attending the Cannes Film Festival to support Francis Ford Coppola’s competition title, “Megalopolis,” in which he stars.

Producers are Charles Gilbert (“Annette”), Joshua Astrachan, Carter Logan, and Attila Yosser. The film is produced and presented by Saint Laurent Prods, headed by the fashion house’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello, MUBI and The Apartment (a Fremantle subsidiary) along with Jarmusch’s Badjetlag and Gillibert’s CG Cinema. The film was co-produced by Irishman Richard Bolger and Conor Barry of the Hail Mary. The film was also supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and received equity financing from Cinema Inutile.
