Eidos Montreal confirms 97 layoffs from Embracer

“The global economic context, the challenges of our industry, and the comprehensive restructuring recently announced by Embracer have taken a toll on our studio. The difficult decision has been made to let go of 97 people from our development, management and support services teams,” the studio said.

“We are working to support all impacted employees through this transition. These extremely talented, highly experienced people are entering the workforce and we want them to find their next projects and help them do that.

“As we go through these difficult times, the well-being of our team is our priority and an ongoing commitment to creating games that players will be able to enjoy in the near future.”
