Indiana Fever star Kaitlyn Clark continues to rewrite the WNBA record books.
Clark broke the WNBA single-season assist record on Friday night when she She scored her 317th goal of the season. In a game against the Las Vegas Aces, she surpassed the record set by Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun last season.
With less than five minutes left in the game, Clarke passed to Kelly Mitchell, who drove to the basket and made a layup, giving her five assists in the game.

Clark, who scored all 18 of her points in the second half, finished with eight rebounds and nine assists as Las Vegas held on to beat Indiana. 78-74.
The feat comes less than two months after she set the record for most assists in a single game (19) in a loss to the Dallas Wings. Clark also broke the rookie (Tesha Benichiro had 225 in 1998) and franchise (Erica Wheeler had 201 in 2023) record earlier this year.
Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft out of Iowa, is averaging 19.1 points and 8.4 assists, the highest in the league. She also averages 5.8 rebounds.
