Roh Tae Moon, President of Samsung’s Mobile Business, recently explained The Wall Street Journal Why are foldable phones so important to a company’s business?
Roh said in the report that Samsung’s foldable phones attract three times more brand adapters than regular Samsung Galaxy S phones. This means that people are turning away from other phone manufacturers, be it Apple, Xiaomi or Oppo, and instead buying Samsung phones.
“We consider this a meaningful ratio and a positive sign,” Roh told the Wall Street Journal. “It’s about switches from other brands, not Samsung Galaxy device users switching to another Galaxy device.”
