A few weeks ago, Samsung released the stable Android 14 update for the Galaxy S23 series in Europe and some Asian countries. Now, the company has finally released the stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to the Galaxy S23 in the US. The update is currently available for carrier locked models of those devices in the country.
The Galaxy S23 has finally gotten the stable Android 14 update in the US
The stable Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update is available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in the US for carrier-locked units. The update comes with the firmware version S91xUSQUBWK4 It also includes the November 2023 security patch. The download size of this update is about 3.3GB, so make sure to download it over a Wi-Fi network so you don’t lose your cellular data. Right now, the update is live on the T-Mobile network, and we expect other carriers to release the update very soon.
If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone and live in the US, you can now check for the new major update by opening Settings Application, go to system updateand eavesdropping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database once it is available for the manual firmware flashing process.
One UI 6.0 features and design changes
The One UI 6.0 interface is based on the Android 14 operating system, and it offers dozens of amazing new features and design changes. It introduces a new quick panel design, a slightly revamped notification design, a new media player widget with wave animation, and improved UI elements. There are two new tools: Custom Camera and Weather Insights. Most stock apps have also been improved. The Camera app gets a new, minimalist design, while the Gallery app gets new photo editing features and controls.
