The fourth COVID injection is “necessary” due to weak immunity

Most people will need to have a file Fourth dose of COVID-19 vaccine Pfizer’s chief said Sunday, to protect against the virus.

“It’s essential for most people,” CEO Albert Burla said during an interview on CBS’ “Face The Nation” when asked if Americans can expect to get annual COVID booster shots each fall.

Borla admitted that the first two-dose plus booster system is unable to protect against variability and dwindles very quickly in strength — making extra shots inevitable.

“Now, the protection you get from the third [shot]It’s good enough – actually very good for hospitalizations and deaths – it’s not good against infection, but it doesn’t last very long.”

Pfizer and other companies are working on screenshots that will Protection against any future changes.

“Omicron was the first [variant] “That was able to evade, in a subtle way, the immune protection we give, but also in all that the protection didn’t last very long,” Burla told host Margaret Brennan.
