Andrew Lloyd Webber announces death of Nick’s son – Deadline

Andrew Lloyd Webber announced the death of his eldest son, Nicholas Lloyd Webber, from stomach cancer.

“I am devastated to have had to announce the death of my beloved eldest son Nick a few hours ago at Basingstoke Hospital. His whole family is together and we are all so deeply bereft. Thank you for all your thoughts during this difficult time.”

The son’s illness was revealed earlier this week by Lloyd Webber when the composer announced he would miss the Broadway opening of his latest musical. Bad Cinderella In order to survive by Nicholas in the hospital. Andrew Lloyd Webber turned 75 on opening night of March 22nd.

Nicholas Lloyd Webber was 43 years old and had recently been transferred from hospital into hospice care.

In the previous message, Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote, “I want to thank you for the outpouring of messages of support for my son Nick. He has now been moved to a nursing home and is fighting away,” he said in the video. “I think he is over the worst of his first bout of pneumonia.” As a result he had cancer, which was horrible. We’re all here and the family got together here, and it was the right place for all of us I think. I’ll go see Nick in a minute and pass on all the wonderful wishes I’ve had for him from everywhere all over the world.”

Nicholas, son of Lloyd Webber and his first wife Sarah Hugill, was a Grammy-nominated composer, who recorded and co-produced the original London Cinderella in 2021. Nicholas also scored the film The last bus (2021), directed by Gillies McKinnon and starring Timothy Spall and Phyllis Logan.
