During his broadcast on October 1, Shroud called for some changes to the smoke response in the new first-person shooter, before revealing that he believes Counter-Strike 2 will be the end of the series.

“They need to delete the smoke effect,” he said. “You run out of smoke when you’re Batman’s king. They literally need to delete that from this game.”

“I think this game is dying. CS is dying with two. I think it is. I strongly believe in that.”

“I feel like you’re being a little negative,” his teammate said. “It’s just the truth, I think it is,” replied Shroud. “I think it’s the end of Counter-Strike with this game. What I mean is we did pretty well, right?”

The presenter added: “We certainly did.” think about it.”

While Shroud believes it could be the end of the series, Counter-Strike 2 clearly shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, as it absolutely dominates as the most played game on Steam currently.
