A new report claims that Samsung is hiring a former Apple employee responsible for Siri’s contextual and conversational awareness to lead a new AI team.

However, Samsung may have plans to revamp Bixby and its other AI efforts by hiring a former Apple employee. according to a report By Mark Gurman, Bloomberg’s usually reliable correspondent Samsung has appointed Murat Akbacak to lead its newly formed unit, the North American Center for Artificial Intelligence.

Samsung will reportedly gather its teams in Toronto and Mountain View, California. According to an internal memo, Samsung has merged these two teams to improve operations and increase efficiency.
