SEATTLE-TAC, Wash. – A potential cyberattack has impacted the Port of Seattle’s internet and web networks, affecting systems throughout Seattle-Tac Airport.

According to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the Port of Seattle “experienced certain system outages indicating a possible cyber attack earlier this morning.”

Passengers are urged to contact their airlines for the latest information about their flights.

SeaTac first reported the outage around 9 a.m. Saturday, before suggesting the outage could be a potential cyberattack around 1:30 p.m.

The port reportedly isolated critical systems and is working to restore full service, reassuring concerned passengers:

We are working closely with relevant authorities and partners to assist travelers who may be affected. If you are traveling today, please check with our airline partners for travel information and allow additional time to reach Seattle International Airport and your gate.

KIRO 7 spoke to a Seatac Airport spokesperson, who said there is currently no estimated time for restoration.

This is an ongoing story and will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
