Destiny 2’s new Vesper host glitch allows players to instantly complete the first encounter and obtain new legendary rewards.
Today, Bungie released the highly anticipated Vesper’s Host dungeon in Destiny 2. Set in Orbit Europa, this dungeon brings a new challenge to players and is filled with visuals similar to the Deep Stone Crypt raid. One of the most exciting rewards in the dungeon is the long-awaited return of the Ice Breaker exotic sniper rifle, along with a brand new set of legendary equipment.
In addition to its challenging mechanics, Vesper’s Host kicks off Destiny 2’s first-ever dungeon race, and Contest Mode, which increases difficulty and limits power levels, makes this dungeon particularly challenging.
What’s interesting is that players have actually found a way to manipulate the encounter, completely bypassing the mechanics using an old exploit.
A glitch in the first encounter of the Destiny 2 Vesper host
The glitch occurs in the first encounter of the new Vesper’s Host dungeon, where you have to deposit nuclear cores. Here’s how it works: You need to time it so that you deposit and drop the core simultaneously and have a fireteam member quickly pick up the core as soon as it drops.
If done correctly, You’ll deposit the core into the chest while still dropping it on the ground, allowing you to use it in the next two deposit chests. Repeat the method for the next two chests in the middle room and the encounter will complete immediately.
This exploit was discovered by tzIsrafel And shared by YouTube users Cheese forever. You can check out how it works in the YouTube video below.
It’s unclear how long this glitch will remain active, but for now, players are enjoying a quick way to earn top-tier loot in record time.
The Vesper’s Host dungeon added a new set of armor, weapons, and cosmetics to the game. If you’re looking for the full encounter loot table, be sure to check out our guide here.
