Tropical Storm Emily formed in the Atlantic Ocean
The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Emily formed in the Atlantic Ocean over the weekend, and according to the most recent advisory published by the NHC, Tropical Storm Emily is located about 1,165 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands with sustained winds of 40 mph. A shift to the north is expected by the middle of the week.” “More weakening is expected, and Emily could become a post-tropical cyclone by evening.” The storm is not expected to affect Earth according to the latest NHC forecast. “A west-northwest-northwest motion is expected over the next couple of days. A turn to the north is expected by midweek,” NHC said. Further weakening is expected, and Emily may become a post-tropical cyclone [Monday] evening.”
The storm is not expected to affect Earth according to the latest NHC forecast.
