Rabbi Shmuel Moshe Hacohen Benjamina devoted and beloved educator of hundreds of students over the past twenty-five years, died on Shabbos, Kislev 5, 5784.
He was 57 years old.
With a constant smile on his face, Rabbi Benjamin was the most dedicated mechanic at Oholei Torah Pre1A for twenty-five years, teaching hundreds of talmidim, instilling a love of Yiddishkeit and laying a strong foundation for them during those formative years. With unparalleled dedication, Rabbi Benjamin taught the many talmidim of the Alif Beis with complete kedusha and purity, interspersing lessons with yiras shamayim and chassidishkeit, ensuring that each student had the tools they needed to succeed in their later years in Chinook.
In recent years, despite his medical treatments, Rabbi Benjamin has been attending to his job at Oholei Torah at all possible times.
Rabbi Benjamin cherished each Talmid, and maintained contact with many of them years later. Taldim fondly remembers his lively and engaging lessons, as well as the deep care he provided to each of his students.
With the full encouragement and support of Rabbi Benjiman, he stood strongly by his wife Devorah side, where the Keren Simchas runs Chosson V’Kalla, an organization that provides necessary funds and support to the Chassanim and Kallahs.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Rabbi Benjamin went to Torah Or in the Land of Israel, and under the influence of Oholi Torah Talmid Shloshim to Sydney, Australia he came to Lubavitch and learned at Yeshiva Gedolah in Melbourne, also in the year 770.
He lives because of his wife Devorah And the children, Chaya And Yusef.
He is also survived by his parents, Avigdor Haim And Frieda Racheland two of his brothers, Jonathan And AdamAnd also his relatives, Pinkas And Gold enamel.
Levaya will be held tomorrow, Sunday, passing Oholi Torah at 10:30 a.m. in which every cheder will participate. Levaya will pass number 770 at 10:45 AM.
